Five generation portrait
My 87 year old mother, 38 year old daughter, 22 year old granddaughter, 2 year old great grandson and myself had been planning for a long time to have a professional portrait done of my family's living five generations but something always happened to waylay our plans. To top it off, my daughter, granddaughter and great grandson lived about 4 hours away from me. So we finally coordinated a date and made an appointment last month for the portrait. The day came for the portrait. My daughter, with my granddaughter and great grandson, was going to drive straight from where she lived to the store parking lot where our appointment was. We went to the portrait studio and imagine our surprise and disappointment when we saw a big sign posted that the studio had closed permanently without warning! I was in panic mode because I was not going to let my family go back home without a portrait made of all of us! Needless to say, the closed studio was not JCPenney's. Luckily, there was a JCPenneys portrait studio in the same mall and they were gracious enough to take us in without an appointment after I explained our dilemma. We left the studio happy with the beautiful pictures our photographer took of our five generations!
