Camilla's First Year
When I was pregnant I had maternity pictures done by a local photographer and it was to include newborn pictures as well. When camilla was born she came to our home and did the newborn pictures. Then, we never heard from or saw her again, no pictures and no refund! That Christmas I went to another local, VERY well known, high end photographer in studio and paid over $50 for 1 pose that came in an 8x10, 2 5x7, and 16 wallets. When I got the pics they were crooked and zoomed in so far you couldn't even see the props. When I called they basically said it was the printing company and tough luck. At this point i'm thinking I'll never have professional pictures done again. BUT I came across a JC Penney groupon. So, we took Miss Camilla to have her first Easter pictures done. I was SOOOOO IMPRESSED with how patient the photographer was! Not only did she take amazing pictures of Camilla in her Easter dress but came up with other photo ideas as well. We ended up spending over $200 in addition to our groupon package we were so pleased! Our home is currently covered in that photo session and we get so many compliments. I was sold! In June we had our first family pictures done on the same day we did Camilla's one year pictures. We had a different photographer and Camilla was VERY cranky. I was worried but again the photographer was so patient, and we loved ALL the pictures!!!! We went back yet again for Camilla's 2nd Christmas pictures. The place was absolutely packed and they were running behind. This time Camilla was apprenhensive with the Santa. Even though they were pressed for time, we never felt rushed and they took their time to ensure Camilla could get comfortable and we could get some good pics, and we did! Today for Easter I went with a different, very well known and publicized local photographer who was closer to home (the JCP studio is a 45 minute drive from us). I paid $75 for a 15 minute photo session because "children work best in shorter sessions". She sends me 106 photos tonight and tells me to choose 15 for editing. I found about 4 that I liked. I felt so ripped off again. Not only was it a whirlwind having the pictures made so quickly, but none of them turned out good. The ONLY time Camilla smiled, the photographer was picking up a piece of paper off the ground and missed it. Needless to say I am FOREVER a JCP portrait studio customer. I will be making an appointment Monday to have additional Easter pictures made, as I know you all will provide pictures worth hanging on the wall! Thank you to all the staff at the Hamilton Place Mall location in Chattanooga, Tennessee for being so great at what you do! I know it is no easy job trying to please picky parents and terrified, screaming toddlers, yet you never bat an eyelash and always make it a welcoming, quality experience!
