Five generation portrait
My 87 year old mother, 38 year old daughter, 22 year old granddaughter, 2 year old great grandson and myself had been planning for a long time to have a professional portrait done of my family's living five generations but something always happened to waylay our plans. To top it off, my daughter, granddaughter and great grandson lived about 4 hours away from me. So we finally coordinated a date and made an appointment last month for the portrait. The day came for the portrait. My daughter, with my granddaughter and great grandson, was going to drive straight from where she lived to the store parking lot where our appointment was. We went to the portrait studio and imagine our surprise and disappointment when we saw a big sign posted that the studio had closed permanently without warning! I was in panic mode because I was not going to let my family go back home without a portrait made of all of us! Needless to say, the closed studio was not JCPenney's. Luckily, there was a JCPenneys portrait studio in the same mall and they were gracious enough to take us in without an appointment after I explained our dilemma. We left the studio happy with the beautiful pictures our photographer took of our five generations!

thought it wasent gonna happen.
i drove an hour and a half to the studio so i knew my girls (2yrs) curls would never make it through that ride so i curled her hair in the waiting room of the studio and i thought to myself oh i hope we get this hair done without her crying and having puffy cry eyes and she did great, hair was great and my son(4yrs) looked great i was a happy mom....Then....the lady says ok lets go in and take pics so we all walk behind her and my son runs right into the wall. Crying instantly. I just knew we couldn't possibly get nice pics done of both kids. BUT my lady that took the pics at the st.cloud studio really helped pull him together fast and made both kids completely forget what just happened, she was amazing. I got the most amazing pics ever and you could never tell he was hysterical 10 min before. I love my jcp portaits.

Spring Time
Emily at studio P092 is amazing! Despite her big round baby bump/expecting soon, she still goes the extra mile to create new poses and exceeds our expectations every time. Thank you for all that you do Emily!

Family Pictures
My sisters and my parents and all our kids recently met up to get family pictures taken. This was quite the production, because of the 7 kids (ages 8 down to infant!). But, the staff at the Lansing Mall were wonderful about meeting our needs and making sure we had some great pictures! Thank you so much!

Camilla's First Year

Camilla's 2nd Christmas
Camilla's 2nd Christmas
When I was pregnant I had maternity pictures done by a local photographer and it was to include newborn pictures as well. When camilla was born she came to our home and did the newborn pictures. Then, we never heard from or saw her again, no pictures and no refund! That Christmas I went to another local, VERY well known, high end photographer in studio and paid over $50 for 1 pose that came in an 8x10, 2 5x7, and 16 wallets. When I got the pics they were crooked and zoomed in so far you couldn't even see the props. When I called they basically said it was the printing company and tough luck. At this point i'm thinking I'll never have professional pictures done again. BUT I came across a JC Penney groupon. So, we took Miss Camilla to have her first Easter pictures done. I was SOOOOO IMPRESSED with how patient the photographer was! Not only did she take amazing pictures of Camilla in her Easter dress but came up with other photo ideas as well. We ended up spending over $200 in addition to our groupon package we were so pleased! Our home is currently covered in that photo session and we get so many compliments. I was sold! In June we had our first family pictures done on the same day we did Camilla's one year pictures. We had a different photographer and Camilla was VERY cranky. I was worried but again the photographer was so patient, and we loved ALL the pictures!!!! We went back yet again for Camilla's 2nd Christmas pictures. The place was absolutely packed and they were running behind. This time Camilla was apprenhensive with the Santa. Even though they were pressed for time, we never felt rushed and they took their time to ensure Camilla could get comfortable and we could get some good pics, and we did! Today for Easter I went with a different, very well known and publicized local photographer who was closer to home (the JCP studio is a 45 minute drive from us). I paid $75 for a 15 minute photo session because "children work best in shorter sessions". She sends me 106 photos tonight and tells me to choose 15 for editing. I found about 4 that I liked. I felt so ripped off again. Not only was it a whirlwind having the pictures made so quickly, but none of them turned out good. The ONLY time Camilla smiled, the photographer was picking up a piece of paper off the ground and missed it. Needless to say I am FOREVER a JCP portrait studio customer. I will be making an appointment Monday to have additional Easter pictures made, as I know you all will provide pictures worth hanging on the wall! Thank you to all the staff at the Hamilton Place Mall location in Chattanooga, Tennessee for being so great at what you do! I know it is no easy job trying to please picky parents and terrified, screaming toddlers, yet you never bat an eyelash and always make it a welcoming, quality experience!

our family portrait
Recently our family visited the jcp portrait studio at VA Center Commons. The girl that took our pictures ( Shanay ) was awesome! We have a large family and her expertise allowed us to enjoy our time and use it efficiently. We will definately be back to have our family portraits done by her! She also helped us pick out some incredible collages that will preserve our memories in a unique way! Love it!!!

1 year picture
We took our 1 year old son to the JCP portrait studio in Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville. I was wondering how difficult is was going to be to get a good picture of a very active 1 year old boy and we were AMAZED at how well Tori did! She was fantastic! She had his attention from the first moment and she never lost it. The session went very quickly even with a quick wardrobe change and we got a ton of great shots. We will definitely be back. Thank you Tori.
